ABOUT US
PACIS TV is a Christian TV that contributes to the Church, Government mission and national programs that aim at improving the health and life conditions of community members, rehabilitating the social fabric and community cohesion, promoting unity, peace, and a holistic human development. PACIS TV started operating late 2019. This time it was mainly accessible to its YouTube channel. The main content was generally mass celebration. Establishing a national Catholic TV was, for a long time ago, a dream of the Episcopal Conference in Rwanda. The COVID19 outbreak in early 2020 pushed the dream of the Rwanda Episcopal Conference to come true.
31st March 2020 was the first time that PACIS TV started to be on air, broadcasting mass celebrations and spiritual music were the main programs of the TV. On the side of PACIS TV this was an opportunity to serve not only the catholic community but also the Rwandan society in general bringing the content to support the society during hard and distressing times of lockdowns and other COVID19 related consequences. On the other hand, it was not easy to operate, for PACIS TV to be on air 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
Despite everything, PACIS TV managed to operate thanks to different corporate partners who provided technical, advisory support and basic training sessions for the staff to work professionally as well as for the TV to continue working.
